Room For Opportunity | Accommodation in central London for youth and school groups

Bere Alston Primary Academy wanted to give its pupils the opportunity to experience London's rich history, culture and educational attractions. However, for many schools, the cost of overnight accommodation can place significant pressure on budgets and limit what can be achieved during a visit.

The school was keen to provide a memorable experience that would inspire learning beyond the classroom while giving pupils the chance to explore the capital city.

During their stay, pupils enjoyed a packed programme of educational and cultural activities, including:

Touring St Paul's Cathedral and climbing to the top of the dome for spectacular views across London
Visiting the Tower of London and discovering its fascinating history
Exploring the Science Museum and watching an IMAX film
Visiting Big Ben and Buckingham Palace
Travelling on the London Underground, a new experience for many of the children
Enjoying evening walks through the city and taking in the sights of the capital

The trip combined history, science, culture and adventure, providing opportunities for learning at every turn.

The visit gave pupils experiences that many will remember for the rest of their lives. Exploring famous landmarks, learning outside the classroom and spending time together as a group helped build confidence, curiosity and a greater understanding of the world around them.

The opportunity to stay overnight allowed the school to make the most of its visit and create a truly memorable experience for both pupils and staff.

From climbing the dome of St Paul's Cathedral to travelling on the Tube for the first time, the trip created countless memorable moments. Thanks to Room for Opportunity, Bere Alston Primary Academy was able to provide its pupils with an inspiring educational experience that broadened horizons and created memories to last a lifetime.
